CMT Fluid is used as part of the California Milk Test (CMT) to detect cases of sub clinical mastitis in cattle. The CMT Fluid is used in combination with a milk test paddle. The test acts quickly and makes it easy to detect infections and be able to narrow it down to which udder is infected. The CMT Fluid works by causing a visible chemical reaction when it comes into contact with infected milk.
