Distocur 34 mg/ml Oral Suspension for Cattle and Sheep
Active Ingredient: Oxyclozanide 34.0 mg/ml
Dosage Form: Oral Drench

Indications:
For the treatment of infections caused by adult Fasciola hepatica (liver fluke) sensitive to oxyclozanide. Also indicated for the elimination of gravid tapeworm segments.

Dosage & Administration:

  • Administer orally using a calibrated drenching device.

  • Shake the bottle thoroughly (at least five times) before use.

  • Determine body weight as accurately as possible to ensure correct dosing.

  • Verify the accuracy of the dosing equipment before use.

  • When treating animals in groups, group by weight and dose accordingly to avoid underdosing or overdosing.

Cattle:

  • Dose at 10 mg oxyclozanide per kg body weight.

  • This equates to 3 ml of product per 10 kg body weight.

  • For cattle over 350 kg, administer a total dose of 3.5 g oxyclozanide per animal, equivalent to 103 ml of product.

Sheep:

  • Dose at 15 mg oxyclozanide per kg body weight.

  • This equates to 4.4 ml of product per 10 kg body weight.

  • For sheep over 45 kg, administer a total dose of 0.68 g oxyclozanide per animal, equivalent to 20 ml of product.

Withdrawal Periods:

  • Cattle: Meat and offal – 13 days; Milk – 4.5 days (108 hours)

  • Sheep: Meat and offal – 14 days; Milk – 7 days (168 hours)
